History of the World Summary(?)

Advanced 3D Muli-disciplinary

Write a short 1 page summary of German playwright Bertolt Brecht’s Ideas. Place this in historical context of what was happing in the discipline of Theater before and after his influence up until today.   Look at a similar time frame for the discipline of Dance and Fine Art and summarize the developments of each.  Finally, what were the common cultural/philosophical influences that you see as a thread that drove this change? Although Art, Dance and theater are different disciplines how are the changes similar? How are they different?

Feel free to have distinct sections:

  2. Historical context of what was happing in the discipline of Theater before, during and after Brecht up to today.
  3. Historical context of what was happing in the discipline of Dance before, during and after Brechts’ time up to today
  4. Historical context of what was happing in the discipline of Art before, during and after Brechts’ time up to today.
  5. What were the common cultural/philosophical influences that you see as a thread that drove this change? (Although Art, Dance and theater are different disciplines how are the changes similar? How are they different? Think in broad terms)
